Antonello Pomata
Three generations of passion for fine cuisine, love for the land, and flavors of their homeland. Since childhood, Chef Antonello Pomata, like his brother Luigi, absorbed every bit of wisdom from their father Nicola, running between the kitchen and dining room of what is still one of the most famous restaurants on the Island of San Pietro, "Da Nicolo," in Carloforte. As a child of the trade, after taking his first steps in the family business and graduating from culinary school, he discovered his own path and new culinary techniques by working in starred restaurants and hotels in London and Milan. Alongside his father Nicola Pomata, who remains a guide and inspiration, he manages both the historic restaurant and the adjacent Bistrot Pomata: attention to ingredient selection, courtesy, pairing of flavors, and choice of fine wines are what primarily characterize his cuisine.
