PRESENTATION

Orange punch—such a classic drink, right?—has its roots in the Anglo-Saxon countries. And the name "punch"? It actually comes from a Sanskrit word meaning "five," a nod to the original five ingredients: aromatic herbs, citrus like orange or lemon, sugar, water, and alcohol. Pretty cool, huh? Over time, people have had fun tweaking these basics, leading to loads of twists on the orange punch. A really popular version now includes Aperol and sugar syrup. It is known for its bright, fruity flavor and moderate kick. Perfect for colder days. This orange punch recipe? A total hit at winter parties. Seriously. Thanks to its sweet aroma and festive, cozy vibe, it just works.

The mix of tangy citrus and a hint of herbs does wonders—like when friends gather to catch up and share stories. How to prepare Orange Punch

To prepare the punch, wash and dry the oranges well, peel them using a peeler, then set the peels aside 1. Cut them in half and juice them using a citrus juicer 2, then strain the juice with a sieve and place it in a large bowl 3.

Now prepare the syrup: in a saucepan, heat the sugar with the water (4-5), and cook everything on low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Meanwhile, add the Aperol to the orange juice 6 and,

when ready, also add the sugar syrup 7. Finally, add the orange peels (that you previously set aside) 8 and let everything infuse for a few minutes 9. Serve the punch while still hot.

Storage

Store the punch in the refrigerator, in an airtight container, for no more than 3-4 days. When serving, heat it in a saucepan.

You can replace the Aperol with your preferred liqueur, the quantities remain unchanged.
